Super Bowl episode will air February 6, 2011. It´s the first episode to air after the season 2 winter break. The episode will follow Super Bowl XLV. Katie Couric is scheduled to appear. Extras have revealed the following, so far parts of it have been confirmed as true and other sources have hinted at certain elements also mentioned:
Meanwhile, Coach Beiste needs football members and recruits Rachel, Tina, Mercedes and newcomer Strando to fill spots. This angers some of the other team members and as punishment Coach Beiste makes the football team join Glee club to bolster a sense of unity. During the match the girls aren't able to keep up but the ball lands near Tina, she gets it halfway before being tackled. During half-time, New Directions performs Thriller/Heads Will Roll without Quinn, Santana or Brittany. Blaine, Kurt and his parents also come to watch the game and it is rumoured that another scene with Karofsky will take place.
